why do tom tom 5 when driving the road some times disappears

why do tom tom 5 when driving the road some times disappears and goes grey and the road returns back to normal??? is this an other crap add on they have included in the software that we have to put up with its very confusing and could cause an accident
ps i went off root and pick some strawberries when over some bridges and guess what crossed over a river and it returns back to normal ITS CRAP TOM TOM MAKE A FIX FOR IT .

anyone know what's going on with this bloody software its driveing round the all the bends

the road is greying out because it is losing the gps lock try to move the gps so that it has a better veiw of the sky what setting are you using if im useing bluetooth then i get a stable lock no problem

tom tom 3 was and is still working fine and my medion software is all so fine i still think that the problem is in the software i have even put my gps ball on the roof of the car and i still get the problem.
