Ipaq 3850 and Jacket problems

Have had to to a hard reset.

Got a 3850 running 2003 and the (compaq)NAVMAN jacket.

Not working getting a optscanbus error.

Also tried to upgrade TOMTOM 5 and it just says "No gps device"

Does TT5 run on this kit if not anyone got a step by step

what do i need to change and format.

3850 with WM2003 isn't supported by Navman; not sure why. As for TTN5, leave the sleeve/iPAQ out in full view of the sky for 10-15 minutes and you may get a fix. TTN5 shows 'No GPS device' when it really means 'No GPS fix'.
