|
|
I have recently started using a Globalsat BT-338 with my TTN3 and am really pleased with it. However I find the constant popping up of the bluetooth brower to be a real pain. I can't even just load TTN to browse the map etc without it popping up all the time - any way to stop this?
Thanks

Here's something you should try (credits to pocketnavigation.de). You need a registry editor for this.
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Widcomm\BtConfig\Autoconnect\000x
(000x is 0008 for com8 )
add an entry (DWORD)
BtBrowserEnabled=0
This should stop the BT browser from popping up, and the last connected device will be reconnected.
If you search previous posts for "BtBrowserEnabled" you will find more information.

Roger,
Thanks for that - I will have a look at previous posts for more info as I gather it was a common problem.
Cheers

BTW, does this problem exist with 5.00/5.10?

On my PDA with TTN 5.00 I needed the BtBrowserEnabled=0 key and had to enter it manually.
With 5.10 the software actually installs this key. If you delete it, the next time you run TTN 5.10 it gets recreated.
