I have always had a bluetooth connection problem with the IPAQ h2210 & TT3 and TomTom's answer to it was to turn the POIs off until they found a solution for it, which they never did.

Everything now works fine, but it is annoying not to be able to use the POIs. As a new member I was interested to read in these forums that if I install the maps etc on a compact flash card instead of the SD card, I should be able to use POIs again.

I am just about to upgrade to TT5 - does this have the same issues as for TT3? And if I do buy a CF card, what size will I need to get?

Hope someone can help! Thanks in advance. Wink

Hi Mermaid,

The iPAQ 2210s do have a problem when using a Bluetooth GPS receiver together with an SD card. The simple solution is to use a CF card.

I have a couple of 2210s, both run a Bluetooth GPS receiver together with a CF card with no problems. I use the same type of CF card in all of my PDAs, i.e. the Kingston 1024Mb CF card.

One of the 2210 is happily running TomTom Navigator 5.

Don’t forget that the maximum number of POI categories is 40.

Regards,

My 2210 runs TTN 2004 on a 1 GB SD card with Tomtom's bluetooth GPS. POIs work well. Am I just lucky, or is it something that doesn't affect all 2210's?

I also have a 2210 (and a TomTom Wireless GPS and a SD card) and I used to have endless problems on TTN3 with the Bluetooth connection dropping.

I've now updated to TTN5 and they seem to have cured all those problems. I've been using it for a while now, with POI's switched on, and the Bluetooth connection hasn't dropped once, it's completely stable. A MASSIVE improvement over TTN3!
