No questions, but just my thanks for this site. Research here helped me choose and set up my system with the minimum of fuss. I decided on a Mio 168 so that I can use it out of the car for short periods, a 1GB SD card as I intend to store OS maps and other data on my Pocket PC, and TomTom Navigator 5.

An hour after opening the box everything was working, thanks to the advice here regarding GPS configuration. Several more hours of fiddling to arrive at a satisfactory in car set up in a Honda Jazz. I finally decided to dispense with the gooseneck supplied, and go for a TomTom windscreen mount which, after cleaning the screen with meths, is very secure and vibration free.

Copying the files to the SD Card - which turned out to be an Integral - was a doddle, and downloading and installing additional POI's from here a very useful bonus.
