Upgrading to new sd card - help please

Have bought a new 1gb card for Go 300. How do I get the data from the original card to the new one?

I have managed to copy all the files across except the data.chk As soon as I try to copy this file it crashes and I get not responding error.

Any help appreciated

It should be easy enough but the most important thing to ensure is that you are using the TOM TOM to transfer the files

i.e. put original SD card in the tomtom -> connect tomtom to the pc via USB lead supplied -> go into my computer and select tomtom drive -> from the drop down list "select all" & "copy" once this is complete drop the files into any directory you fancy on your pc's hard drive (it may be best to have a dedicated tomtom directory) then select paste (all the files are now backed up

Now remove original SD card from tomtom and insert the new 1gb sd card. Do the same process only reversed (copy files from pc hard drive, paste into tomtom.

This should be all you need to do, hope this helps?

Thanks - I ended up doing this on another computer & it worked fine. I have now had to make a back-up copy from the new copy for safe keeping.
