Tom Tom 5 official Speed Camera updates

Hi Guys,

I was thinking of getting the official TT5 speed camera updates package. What is the difference between camera POI's on this site and the official TT ones.

Do the official ones have sound and the speed sign on the icons or are they just the speed camera symbol, with bleeps, bells and whistles ??

the official ones are simply collections of POIs, they do not come with special sounds.

Those cost money, ours are free

Those are out of date, ours are updated by users.

Based on the fact that their latest maps are still out of date (many roads which were built more than 2 years ago still not included), then I would not even dream of using their speed camera database, especially when Pocket GPS World provide a superb database for free.

And before anyone jumps down my throat to remind me that TomTom do not collect the map data, ther ARE the ones who sell the maps to us, and should therefore be responsible for their quality. Furthermore, I guess they'll use the same technique for collecting traffic camera data - i.e. get someone else to do it, and blame them when we complain that the data is out of date.
