Hi all, this is my first post, so I hope it will help some of you with freezing probs.

I installed TT5 over TT3 about 2 weeks ago, thinking that it would be as good as TT3! I had a few problems locking up during some trips but at first thought it was me not getting the set-up right etc.

I decided early on to see if CheckPOInt 3.2 would work with TT5 and set it to open with TT5. Found out it wouldn't and deleted it off my PDA.

Things began to get worse on the freezing front so I started to look at these forums and was surprised at the number of people suffering the same way. I tried changing the receiver set-up to a wired one etc, seemed to work but not all the time.

So after a while longer and alot of reading with no definitive answers I decided to give up on TT5 and go back to TT3.

I reset my PDA to a saved backup which included TT3 and checkPOInt.

TT3 wouldn't work as I didn't have the map at the time but got to think about checkPOInt, and wondered if it might have been conflicting with TT5 POI settings. I decided to delete it off my PDA and for the hell of it reinstalled TT5 again for one last try.

I set up TT5 with the wired receiver on 9600 baud and low and behold, touch wood etc it hasn't frozen once as yet Smile

It is still early day's but it would have frozen by now before the rest etc.

Here's hoping

Hi all,

this is just a follow up to my main message to say that I have had no lockups with TT5 since I took checPOInt3.2 off my system. :D
