Mitac Mio 269 vs Navman iCN510 ?

Hi

I'm looking for an in car navigation system to use in the UK and France.

I was all set to buy the Navman iCN510 European Premium Edition which would cost about £500 when I read on one of these forums someome recommending the Mitac Mio 269 saying it was as good as the Navman for less money about £398)

I know everyone has to pay their money and make their choice but as a complete novive I would greatly appreciate any advice/guidance anyone could offer on these two units.

I have found a review on this site regarding the Navman but cannot find a review of the Mitac. Is there one?

I'm surprised at the prices favour the Mio unit like that.

I thought the 269 was the competition for the Navman 630/635 (650?) and the 136 was the compeditor for the navman 510

Mio Map is a rebranded version of Destinator3 which I think this site has reviews for. It's based on Navteq maps instead of Teleatlas but I *think* there are issues when your trip crosses map chunk boundries that SmartSt doesn't have.
