I got the upgrade to TT5. The install went OK to my IPAQ 5550.

I was using the previous version with Navman GPS unit which worked fine set up as a TomTom Blutooth on COM8.

However since upgrading I cannot get the two to work together.
I enabled the connection in Bluettoth Manager on the IPAQ
I selected 'other bluetooth' device and selected Bluetooth on COM8, but nothing. Tried it again with COM5 (the only other Com port listed) but nothing.

The GPS application is very different to the previous one. Dont know what to do next. Can anyone help please??

Thanks,
Cliff

I have the same problem. In the drop down list of GPS devices it only shows bluetooth serial port 5 - twice!

There is no port 8. It's doing my head in !!!!! Any help?

I have tried using a wired receiver as suggested.

There is still no way to get a connection.
My Pocket PC sees the Bluetooth OK and connects.

When I select the Baud rate and then the Com Port the software either freezes, or I go back to the Bluetooth Manager and see the device again (unconnected). I reconnect it and then go through the process all over again.

The previous BT driver was bad enough. I had to remove the latest version and get an older one to make it work. Now its even worse. as its integrated.

Is it a ply to make everyone buy a TomTom GPS unit??

Does anyone have any more ideas?

I had the same problem, I had to set it up as a cable reciever and select the serial port, set the baud rate to 38500 and it worked.

Same as you the Ipaq was linked to the reciever fine and the bluetooth connection showed up no problems

I have now had success.

I removed the device in Bluetooth manager and then re-installed. This time TomTom picked it up using the cable setting.
