Sorry to report that I've had a reasonably good and very bad experiences with Handtec or "gpskhandtec" as the are also called.

Reasonably good :
Bought an IPAQ HX4700 from them with sat nav kit, which was fine apart from the leadtek bluetooth GPS receiver wasn't supplied with a charging lead or the anti slip mat that Leadtek themselves say it is supplied with.

Very Bad
After taking delivery of the HX4700 I ordered a RX3115 sat nav kit from them. When it arrived it was a remanufactured US spec IPAQ. Checking their webpage ad again, it only mentioned "re-manufactured" in very small print right at the bottom of the page. After contacting them and them assuring me that the non-existant Handtec warranty that should have been within the box but obviuosly wasn't covered me for a full 12 months, I still wasn't happy. For a further £99.00 they agreed to exchange the US remade Ipaq for a UK spec RX 3715. This dutifully arrived the following day by courier. However when I inspected the IPAQ, I found it was a Malaysian version instead (#ARE). This is despite their assurances that they would supply a full UK spec machine.

Will buy elsewhere in future and would advise others to use extreme caution when buying from Handtec.

Ordered a hx4700 of them and it is also a non-uk model ? Are they allowed to sell this ? I did not read this post before i purchased it, can I send it back to them ?
