TTN PPC and TomTom Go 700 Help Please

I have TTN3 PPC with Europe maps and wired reciver. I also have USA and Canada maps for it so I can use it when I travel to Canada and the USA. I am thinking of getting TomTom Go 700 so all I have to take is one unit and would like to know if I can use the USA and Canada maps with it or do I have to buy them all again?
Please can any one help.

No, I’m afraid that you can not load the TTNav 3 USA & Canadian maps onto a GO 700 for two reasons:
The TTNav 3 maps are already registered and locked to a device
Your USA & Canadian maps are version 3 and cannot be used on a GO 700, which is version 5.

If you upgrade your TTNav3 maps via the TomTom website, you may be able to use the upgrade (i.e. the USA & Canadian) maps on a GO 700. However you would need to probably need to clear some space on the hard drive of the GO 700.

Thanks for your quick respones.
If I get the upgade maps how will I be able to put them on TomTom 700 if they are upgrade maps for PPC?
The Maps that I have are for TomTom 2004 and work well on my TT3 are these maps diffrent to the ones that come with version 5?
How much space is on TomTom 700? As I only need one state at a time or If I go to Canada I have to have the lot which is about 80megs +
Or should I just stay as I am?

When you upgrade your TomTom US Package they send an upgrade package that works with TT GO,PDA, and Mobile,

They do work fine
