How do I test my gps unit with nctlite?

Hi Guys
I'm a real novice so please be gentle with me.

I have two C500's and two identical GPS senders, for ease we will call them phone 1 & phone 2 and gps 1 & gps 2.

Phone 1 works with gps 1 but not with gps 2 and phone 2 will not work with either gps units.

With the gps units I got a CD with an app called nctlite test programme, but no instructions for use of app.

Anyone know how to use the nctlite app to test the suspect gps unit so I can either send it back or accept it as being ok and is then down to configuration etc.

Sorry but this would have to be quite detailed instructions as I know not a jot about bluetooth protocol or gps or anything really come to think of it :D
