Problem with preset POIs in TomTom Mobile 5 on SPV C500

Hi, hope someone can help out with this.

I recently swapped my install of TomTom over to a larger memory card. Everything seemed to still work fine, until I tried to find the nearest cashpoint from the POI screen. All that now happens is TomTom sits there saying "One moment please..." indefinitely. Indeed, this also appears to be the case with all the other standard POIs. Any downloaded POIs created by other people all seem to work fine.

I presume this is some problem with the POI.dat file in the Great-Britain-Map folder, but i can't seem to track down exactly what has gone wrong. It's still there and it's still the same size as it was before.

I'd be very greatful if someone could shed some light on this issue.

As a follow up, in case anyone else comes across this and wonders why their POIs don't seem to be working, I have learnt since than the POI.DAT file can become corrupted, which causes the symptoms I described.

As it stands, I have managed to get hold of a POI.DAT from TomTom Navigator version 3, and now thankfully the built-in POIs all work, although they are going to be out of date to some extent.

I'll report back any further progress if I manage to get the original file working.
