I've searched all the the other threads but can't find an answer to my problem - my apologies if someone has already answered this.

Just upgraded to TT5 from a fully functioning TT3 system. Can't get my TT5 to talk to Fortuna GPS. My iPAC 2210 sees the Fortuna and establishes a link but TT5 reports "No GPS device".

I'm sure it's probably to do with Com ports. iPac uses inbound Com 5 and outbound Com 8. There's no Tom Tom GPS program icon as before to set up the com port to be used only the routine within TT5 to select the the type of receiver and a very reduced number of connection possibilities which does not include Com 5 or Com 8.

I'm sure I've missed something obvious but I can't for the life of me figure it out. Any kind person got the time to point me in the right direction?

Many thanks in anticipation

Graham

Graham, set-up the GPS by selecting "other wired NMEA GPS - set the Baud speed then on the next screen should be the Bluetooth ports (as a tip try selecting screen rotation in TT to landscape mode other wise you will see two BT ports but the numbers won't be on the screen), finally fire it up and give it ten min sight of the sky to aquire a lock - Mike

Hi Mike

Six hours of frustration solved in moment by your flawless instructions. Took me about twenty seconds when pointed in the right direction. Many thanks for your help Mike I'm very grateful, I woudn't have stumbled across that in a month of Sundays.

Regards

Graham
