TomTom Nav 5 does not have FULL postcode search facility ???

I recently upgraded from TTN3 to TTN5 for my Ipaq 2210. Now when i navigate to a place using the PostCode feature, i only get the 4/5 figure postcode option !. My dad has the TomTom Go 300 and he can type in the exact postcode, why is this ?. On the link from TomTom it said if i upgraded then i would get the FULL postcode search facility, but i can only search as far as, for e.g SR1 5 !!! then it gives me a list of streets in the SR1 5 area, my dad can input SR1 5AA and pinpoint the exact street !. What am i doing wrong ?
