I have recently purchased the latest TomTom Go 300 and successfully downloaded the Pocket GPS safety camera database to my PC. I unzipped the file and copied all the contents into the GB Map on the SD Card. I then tried for several hours to enable the POI for the safety cameras with no success - I went in through "Manage POI" on the Go 300 but could not find any speedcamera info. I am unsure as to how to bring up the database onto the GB map and are not sure as to the name of the POI camera database to enter into the Go 300.
I know it should work fine but would be grateful if anyone could inform me step by step as to how to achieve this. Many thanks. |

Hampie,
I'm a beginner myself, but your problem may be the same as I had. (If I'm wrong in this advice, I apologise. I'm sure someone will correct me)
When you copy the ov2 (speed cameras) folder onto the SD card as a folder, the contents won't show up on your TT. The folder has to be opened first, then 'select all' the files and copy them onto the SD card. Then they should work on the TT.

The OV2 file themselves have to go into the Map Folder. If you Copy/Paste the folder itself, TTG can only see the folder not the files. _________________ Richard

:D That works great- as you said, I needed to open the folder first and copy the appropriate files and not the folder itself.
Many thanks Mat - at last my hours of trying are over!
