Same here. There isn't any attempt made by TT to connect. I've tried all of the available ports after selecting 'Other Bluetooth GPS'

Help please Confused

OK chaps. Of the guys with the "no GPS Device" glitch, are we all using the "trial" version from the internet.

I reckon there is a different setting on the upgrade version than the "complete" version, as everyone keeps referring to the "Other wired GPS" setting and mine clearly states "Other Cable NMEA GPS" which I don't think is the same.

Having said that, my mate is using this version (5.000) and it is working fine on his XDA 2s.

hello mate

i don't have a trial version, got proper upgrade from tom tom and get the No GPS Device, i get the Other Cable NMEA GPS also. I saw somewhere else Tom Tom are not supporting the XDA2i but they are the XDA2s, unless there is something slightly different which i could not see in the specs apart from it's faster.

Getting very depressed here that i can't use Tom Tom Sad

I have both and XDA2 and an XDDA 2i and it is the same on both of them - No GPS Device.

Can we get a categoric answer on whether anyone has it running on an XDA 2 or XDA 2i?

Just spoke to o2 data support they told me that Tom Tom won't support the xda2i due to some differences in the graphics or something like that, thinking of selling my xda2i on ebay and getting a supported pda.

I wonder of that is anything to with the fact that when tomtom opens up, the navigator view is grey?

Either way - how come Tomtom 3 works fine with it then.

Also seeing as the XDA 2i is one of the best selling PDA's (if not the number one best selling PDA), diesnt that leave a hole inthe market place for them.

I know what you mean but it still leaves the problem of not getting it to work and judging by the lack of response from people i think this problem isn't going to get resolved soon. Sad

It's just so damn frustrating on why it won't connect.

I've tried a hard reset, a re-install of tom tom and set the gps to com port 6, still no joy.

I have a Ipaq 4700 and a clip on. i have set this up to Bluetooth port 8 and TomTom has been able to receive the data and works fine.

It may be worth downloading and trying GPSGate as this would set the gps up on a serial port instead of bluetooth.

Right I've just had a bonfire in the garden and chucked the lot on there.

I'm never going out again, so no need for GPS any more.
