Hi there......that was a quick response......all I did was to copy all the folders from the SD card to the CF card just using my PC Copy-paste function. The installation instructions that came with the program implied that all one had to do was insert the card, switch on the GPS receiver and launch the application.....in other words the programme would install automatically on insertion of the card.
I have tried both the CF card and the supplied SD card all to no avail.....is there something obvious here that I am missing? Using file explorer is there an installation routine that should run when tapped?
Regards,

Ah, you have the software only version? not upgrade cd's?
On your 2210 use File Explorer. Go to the Storage card. You should see several folders. and a file start.exe. Run this file. This should start the auto installation from SD. It installs anything that is in folder 2577.
If that doesn't work, go to the 2577 folder on your SD. Just click on the all the cabfiles in the folder 2577. Then those will be unpacked one by one. |

TuurG,
You are a star............many thanks......I had tried tapping on the "Start.exe" file but nothing was happening....then it dawned on me....when I had copied all the files over to the card I had put them in a folder called "Tom Tom".......when I took them out of the "Tom Tom" folder all worked well ....not sure why it didnt work on the SD card though. Using file explorer I dont even think the SD card was showing....I know there has been a problem with the h2210 and SD cards.....but I do have the latest software patch for this.
Anyway.....it is all activated now.....time to play! Many thanks for your help!!
Many thanks,
Andrew |
