Gps Assist with TTN5??????

Does anyone know whether GPS Assist will work with the upgrade? Or indeed does it need to given the POI functionality - is is as good as the add-in?
Unfortunately it looks like the GPS assist guys have given up and do not respond on the ir own site/forum - pity reakky as I personally prefer the software to others I've tried.

No third party application will work with TTNav5 until TomTom release an SDK for TTNav5. The third party applications will then probably need rewriting.

I agree that GPSAssist is a good program, and it's my preferred choice for use with TTNav3. However don't dismiss Jo (author of GPSAssist) as he has a close family member who's be seriously ill for a long time, hence development of GPSAssist and participation in his forum have obviously had to take a back seat.

I hope that if TomTom release an SDK for TTNav5 then Jo will create a version of GPSAssist for TTNav5, when the situation allows.

Yes I know about Jo's problem - but a note on the site would be good - he seems to have a lot of unhappy punters there who don't know!
On re-reading Dave's TTN5 review it would appear that 5 does pretty much everything that the add-on does anyway. I will wait to see - looks like it might be a long wait though! - must be a big "warehouse" in Holland
