I have a HP IPAQ hx2410 running TomTom Nav 5, and ordered a Silver Shield PDA Amplified Speaker Mount for it. It came with zip all instructions and I can not get any sound out of the speaker at all! The sound comes out of the PDA instead!
There is a label on the mount which reads IPAQ H38xx/39xx/54xx/55. Have they sent me the wrong one? If not does anyone know how to get the voice directions to come out of the mount speaker?
Thanks. |

Hi Chris,
I have a silver shield mount (currently considering painting it black!) and you should have been provided with a short connection lead that goes between the earphone socket of your pda and a socket on the left hand side of the mount.
I have the mount installed with an Orange SPVM2000 (XDAIII) and this is the way it connects for me - hopefully its the same for you
Regards,

Yes. The problem was that the mount came with no instructions what so ever. I ordered the bluetooth GPS one from the site, but I got a bag with a GPS power cable in it. When I saw this I put it in the box thinking that I did not need it. On top of the mount was a hole with a symbol for a headphone socket. I naturally assumed this was for headphones! It was not until I open this bag that the short curly cable fell out that I released what was going on. Anyway it all works fine now.
Thanks. |
