Hi
it looks like i am not going to get my full europe maps b4 i go away so looks like i am going to have to use my major roads of europe.

I am waiting on a new SD card to allow me to look at them but in the meantime, can anyone tell me to what level of detail they go down to. for example, a hotel address of 74290 Talloires in France, (Annecy). how near would the major roads get me? Are we talking A roads, B roads?
many thanks for any advice.

Well, I've jst had a look at the area round Annecy on myMRoE and the small D909 on the East side of the lake is there, and the N508 on the westside is there. Town of Talloires is not named and no lake!!
Plus some of the main routes in Annecy such as Avenue Gambetta, Rue Louis Revon, Avenue de Brogny and others.

BUT there is NO geographic shading on MRoE.; no rivers, lakes, urban areas, fields etc. nothing apart from light green background with the roads.

I've been looking at the towns on the Rhine between Koblenz and Heidelberg, but there's no Rhine on MRoE; roads either side it are there though.

Do not despair!!

Talloires can be found on the major roads of Europe :D

Load the MRE map and Navigate to it by name. It will offer you three or four roads. N508, D909A, Route du Cret etc. The name doesn't appear on the map, and the brown route line stops at what appears to be a random point along the road, but it is the town you want.

It seems that on the MRE they have installed a large database of names, but not put the names on the map Rolling Eyes This does not apply to GB where there are hardly any names and large towns are missing.
