Hi all,

Brand new user and very much a newbee. So far very impressed!

The instructions on how to backup and restore are not helpful on the CD provided.

Has anyone tried a backup and restore? I would appreciate some help on this as I don't wan't to mess things up quite yet Wink

Thanks
Graz

Before you do anything, read the Sticky thread above, titled:

The best way to back up your SD card is to connect the GO to the PC. This should be seen as a removeable drive.

Select the drive.
Ensure that all system files and hidden files are visible.
Select all the files.
Right click and select copy
Move to your computer hard drive
Create and select a new directory to copy the files to.
Right click in the directory and select paste.

When you copy things to and from the GO it is always best to finish by right clickig on the drive icon for the GO and then clicking eject.

This will write any waiting files to the GO before you acually remove the cable.
