i've got a TTG 300 with standard 128mb SD Card and it almost full when you take the thing outta the box, so i've ordered a 512mb Card, when it comes whats the procedure to get it up and running?
can i just copy the whole of my 128 card in my pc then drag it back to the 512? do i need to reinstall maps from cd & enter product codes?
did i hear the cd that came with the 300 did'nt have maps on it?
thought i'd post here before jumping in and messing the whole thing up, from what i read TT Support arnt always over helpful
(unlike the people on here that email back just to say thanks for the update for the Safety Camera Database, top blokes) |

A simple copy and paste will be sufficient. Make sure your Windows explorer does not hide system files and does not hide extensions. Otherwise you may miss some of the files. _________________ Lutz

I did just that -- forgot to show all files and wondered why it didn't work
Then did it correctly and it did 512 card... :D
just as an aside to this point --
what is the largest card you can get that will work (and fit) with TTGO...
some one said you can get a 1 Meg card _________________ Happy to meet -- Sorry to part -- Happy to meet again |

I can confirm that it does work with a 1Gb card. I am waiting for the 2Gb to turn up.
I can also confirm that the PDA version works fine with a 4Gb card. I have Weatern Europe, Eastern Europe, USA, and GB Plus on there as well as a number of Memory-Map files :P _________________ Mike Barrett |

I have used a SanDisk and an ATP card both were obtained directly from the manufacturers.
However I have some good news that I was going to break soon that I might as well let out now...
