You can use any GPS receiver with CoPilot, you don't have to buy the CoPilot branded one.
Some users have had problems with CoPilot, you should read throught the CoPilot forum before you buy. Also read this post which summarises the specific problems I've had. _________________ Gone fishing! |

TomTom is more popular than CoPilot but a new release is due to be released next month, so you would be better off waiting a while. Should you buy the current version 3 you will still have to pay for the Version 5 upgrade. _________________ Graham.

TomTom seems to be a popular option though I have never used it. They have TomTom version 5 coming out soon so make sure you get the latest version!
At the moment I am using CoPilot on my Smartphone and a Garmin GPS-V on my bike.
For my next GPS, I will probably get a Garmin Quest since I need something waterproof and robust for bike use. The wife already uses and trusts my old Garmin GPS-V so she should get used to the Quest pretty quickly for in car use which is also a plus.
If I were shopping for a PDA/Smartphone based system, I would probably buy TomTom. I am hoping ALK can sort out CoPilot's problems and give us CoPilot users a free fix/upgrade but not holding my breath. _________________ Gone fishing! |
