activation error's on XDA2

I get weird behaviour when I install TT 3 on my XDA2 - following carefully the install instructions I can enter my activation code - it then says 'The program is now activated' ! fantastic I thought - then clicking 'ok' it says 'the activation code is not valid for south east' - i was like huh?!

Retrying just takes me into a loop - which is irritating.

Definitley got the correct activation code - what could be causing the map to fall over/not work?

I upgraded my XDA2 to the last ROM update - all great there, but still get this irritating screen -

Anyone have any ideas please? would really like to get on the GPS thing!

Doesn't sound like you use the original maps. Where is the 'south east' map coming from - the TTN3 CD?

Hiya lbendlin!
Yes, from the install CD - I choose 'add maps' - Ive chosen a small map of the south east of the UK cos im in West London and currently havent got myself a large capacity SD card.

Now on the TomTom site it says to download the 3.07 version which is an update for various models including my XDA2. So, that's the installation file I've used. It comes 'bundled' in with the GPS software apparently so it's an 'all in one' install/setup file.

Could it be that the 3.01 (on my CD)maps are not compatible with the updated install file?

If so, looks like I'm gona have to return it and look for another piece of software -

By the way - is it possible you could email me & take this off the forum?
