SD-501 doesn't get a fix

Hi,

I just purchases a SD-501 for my Axim x50v.

GPSInfo works fine - and when I start it up I get scrolling data in the window.

But that's it.

The map shows either 1 satellite in red, or a pile of them in red on top of each over around the North pole. That's all, no signal bars appear for any of them. I've tried it with the external antenna and that makes no difference.

Leaving it for up to ten minutes doesn't make any difference - the LED never flashes.

Is this a faulty unit?

Leave it a bit longer, near a window. The mod who reviewed it must live up a mountain, as he got 7 fixes while it was up his bum ( no offence ). I had given up and left it all switched on. Came back and the was blinking.
