Straying from your route with TTG

Hi all.

Im considering a TTG 500 but one point I dont seem to be able to find in any info is what happens if you stray off your route? Does the TTG software re calculate a way back on to it or does it just assume you're on the right route all the time?

TT% and I assume tomtom go automatically recalculate after a wrong turn. Sometimes its great and lets you carry on and slowly works you back to where you want to go , other times when it cant find an alternative it will tell you to make a u turn. You can and I do get bloody minded and keep going and it will keep on recalculating and eventually when I have seen what I want to I let it lead me onto the right track

Just because it says turn right you dont have to

I keep on learning but they invent new things faster ,How do I keep up ?
