Hi there,
Just went to spain to show my mother-in-law the wonders of sat nav (tomtom 3 with polstar bluetooth receiver) as she wants to buy one, but it didn't work!
She has just bought an Opel Zafira and it has heat reflective windows.

Now, as this car is brand new, she obviously doesn't want me making any changes to it! Nor does she really want wires passed through door frames for external bits'n'bats.

Are the any options for getting GPS to work that are either inside the car or do not have wires between them (or any suggestions as to where else the receiver could be placed).

thanks,

Mike

- bluetooth receiver in the back of the car
- sometimes there are areas behind the mirror or in a window corner that are not tinted...

Does the receiver have to face a certain way?

No, other then top side up ;) Try positioning the antenna in the far left and right bottom corners which sometimes works or as Lutz has said behind the rear view mirror.

If none of these work then a BT Receiver is the best solution. This can be placed in a rear window.
