Rikaline 6030 + TT3

It's driving me MAD!!

I paired the 6030 with my IPAQ 5450. I cant get any GPS signal in TT3. In TT3 GPS setting I have tried the rikaline 6010 and nmeav2 bluetooth with COM 8 but neither works.

Can anybody help? Do I need any software for TT3 to recognise the 6030 or should the settings be the same as for the 6010?

I just set mine up as :
TomTom Wireless GPS
Bluetooth Serial Port Com8

It worked a treat

As Dabby says, and and I reinforced recently in a sticky post in the TomTom Navigator forum, you have to use GPS 3.07 and Navigator 3.07 (or 3.07T if you use Traffic) with Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition.

Your XDA2s is a Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition Phone Edition device.

The COM port number of the Bluetooth serial port changes from machine to machine - at most there's only two Bluetooth COM ports, so if you can't find out which is which, you only have two options to try!

OK, I just received my Rikaline 6030 in the post today and it worked my my QTEK9090 (XDAII) pretty much out of the box.

Be aware that the passcode is "0000", not "1234" as stated in the hardware comparison database.

My BT serial port settings are In 5 out 6 - NMEA 0183v2 4800 BT SP COM6 on the TT3 GPS.

It's works just fine - with the BT GPSR on my dash I'm getting between 3 and 5 satellites. That's on an Alfa 156 I'm driving. Whether this is a good figure or not I couldn't say due to my lack of experience. Ideally I want to hardwire the device into the car, preferably hidden from view - maybe with an exterkal antenna it will be OK.

Any views on that?
