Recovered file fragments

Sorry, another beginner's question.
On going to "Explore" to see exactly what is on my memory card in the Navman (with SmartST V2) I see that there is a list of maps of different parts of France (Map files) and below those a list of "Recovered file fragments"
eg D00R000.map 227KB Map File
then lower down
D00R000 2.87KB Recovered file fragment

Should I delete the "Recovered map fragments" or perhaps reinstall the maps or just leave well alone?

Keep your hands off these. Windows (Microsoft) uses different standards for extensions than the programmers at Navman (and TomTom, for that matter). These files most probably have an extension ".CHK" which is hidden by Windows unless you tell it not to hide known extensions.

In Windows CHK files are recovered file fragments, but in Navman those are important data files that you should not touch.
