My girlfriend recently got me the Pharos in Car Navigation with Convertible iGPS-360 Receiver.

Which comes with the WORST software ever! Ostria! Version 6.10

This software made me get off highways to just get back on, and take the worst roots possible. Even made me turn around and go back the opposite way and take a different root.

Im looking for a new solution to my software needs.

I want something that WILL give me GOOD directions like mapquest or something similar.

I am a computer techy so I will be able to use almost anything.

Im just looking for something that looks nice and gets me where i want to go the best way!

I live in the U.S.

Thanks in Advance!

Mapopolis if you are a geek, or TomTom if you are a geek who wants to impress his girlfriend...

I was thinking TOMTOM Navman 2004 or CoPilot live 5

Anyone have suggestions between the two?

I just want a program that will give GOOD directions.

I have been scared with the rath of Ostria.

just recieved a 30 day trial of Ostria 7.0 ill let you know if it fixes the CRAPPY directions problem.

But in the mean time please let me know which one of those above is better.

Thanks in advance

Can you please define what GOOD directions means for you?

They use similiar algorithms, so routes are mostly the same. It all depends on the map accuracy. Where do you live?

Not being sent off a highway to get back on....

Or told to turn around on a highway and go back the other way to take a different route.

Ostia was such a pain. I just want something better than that.

Something that gives directions like mapquest.
