Hi All

I have an Ipaq 2210 and would like to know if it is possible to switch from portrait to landscape especially for Excel ?

If not is there any software I can download or buy ?

Cheers in advance

Hmm...

That looks interesting.
First thoughts are 'higher res = more map visible on-screen'

I don't normally use any software on the PPC other than navigation software as it is primarily used for navigation and the less clutter means smoother operation but I suppose the only way to find out is to try it.

A word of caution

- this is a software emulation of higher resolutions, and comes with a spped cost
- not all navigation programs are coded gracefully to handle resolutions other than QVGA
- It's imoprtant to keep physiology in mind. The human eyes work best at about 72 dpi. Increasing the dpi count does not necessarily mean you will benefit from the larger amount of data displayed on the screen. Text will be too small to read, for example. Microsoft clearly states that VGA should be used to display the data on screen nicer (for text rendering etc) and not to abuse it to cramp more data in. (Now if the screen were 8 inch diagonal - different story) Not everyone has an eyesight of 160

Having said all that, the original request was for landscape mode - that will keep the existing dpi, and will only be problematic when programs use menu items below the 240 pixel mark - those will be unreachable in QVGA landscape . A classic example is the PIN dialog - if your PIN contains a 0 then you're trapped because you can't enter it. Fortunately NYDITOT disables itself when you do a soft reset.
