I've had this "T3 & TTN intermittently can't connect to TT Bluetooth GPS receiver without a soft reset issue" ever since I bought it, and I still see it on TTN v4.40.

However I recently tried out BT Toggle Pro from http://www.whizoo.com/apps/bttoggle.php.

This is a BT mgmt app which automatically enables/disables the Palm BT receiver when an application requires it. When TTN starts you can see an additional splashscreen indicating this, and I've not had to do a soft reset since installing it!
There's also a companion app BTSerialPro which allows you to capture data being sent from any BT device, so it's useful to check that the GPS receiver is sending out data over BT.

Has anyone else tried this applet out with any success?

I don't have a Bluetooth GPS (although I may get one in the next couple of months) but I've been a happy user of BTToggle Pro for a long time. It's an excellent bit of software - I got it to prolong the T3's battery life by switching BT off when it wasn't needed.

Glenn.
