problem with bundled rgm-2000

I have an RGM-2000 with an ipaq cable that was supplied with Kane car pilot plus. I would like to try other gps software packages with this mouse, but I am having problems connecting to it. I have eventually got GPS Tweak to see the mouse, but only when I set it to use NMEA, Com1 and 38400 baud. Can I change the baud setting down to 4800 bps with some pocket pc software, or do I have to make some other changes for e.g GPS tuner to work.

I have tried winfast navigator and can connect again at NMEA baud rate 38400. I have tried adjusting the settings in tools/command/NMEA to set the baud to 4800, but I can still not get other software to see the card. Have you anymore Sagely advice?
