prob w/ GPS signal using BR-305 GPS receiver

i have:

IPAQ 3835
BR-305 GPS receiver
two different kinds of mapping software. (have tried both)
-delorme
-iguidance

i have received a gps signal(it shows longitude and latitude & my current speed in km/hour)

but when i try to run the mapping software, it searches for and responds w/ (no GPS detected)

what tool did you use to see the poistion and speed? Did this tool also tell you the COM port?

under GPS connect......

(tab)start GPS (it was using COM port 1)
(tab) GPS info (this is where i saw position and speed)

these tabs are both under GPS connect

when i did a scan COM port on my desktop pc, it showed COM port 1 and COM port 2, (no device)

BUT those were the only COM ports avaliable

manually set your programs to COM1 and NMEA 4800
