|
|
I am using a TomTom Go, and I own a Macintosh. I used a friends Windows computer to install maps on the SD card. In the future (with the new update supporting custom POIs), can I install OV2 files with my Macintosh and an SD card reader/writer? I have been able to look at the contents of the SD card in this manner.
Is there any Mac to TomTom apps available that I haven't found?
Thanks,
Ken |

Yes, that should work. You should even be able to connect the GO directly to the Macintosh if the latter has a USB slot free. The storage card on the GO is suposed to be accessible via the USB connection. _________________ Lutz

The card will come up on the mac when connected via usb. Just drag and drop into the appropriate folder on the card, or into the trash if you want to free up some space. Don't forget to empty the trash if you want to free up the space on the card.
I use mine on a mac - though the cd software is pc only

I've done all my PoI installations and deletions on my Mac. Just drag and drop between the windows.
You need the .ov2 file and its matching .bmp file. Ignore the .xls and.csv files.
The only problem I had was that I unplugged the USB cable (after ejecting the TTG disk image - called "NO NAME" on my computer) before the blue SD card icon ahad stopped flashing on the TTG screen. I think it confused things and some PoI's didn't work. Had to reinstall them. |
