No sound for POI warning

I have just installed the new software for TTG and I'm sure I read in the review that the waring sound for approaching POIs would still operate whilst the sound for instructions was turned off. This does not seem to be the case as there appears to be only one option for sound on or off and as far as I can tell it applies to all sounds.

Has anyone managed to get the instruction voice to remain off while the POI warning is on?

I think I may have solved this myself. I just deleted some of the standard voices and then selected them with the sound turned on. I now hear the POI warning without the voice instructions.
