Bluetooth GPS Receiver from TomTom not working

I just received my new TomTom Navigator for Palm. The software has been installed without any problems. The Bluetooth GPS has been charged till the red LED has gone off.
When I switch on the GPS, the blue light goes on together with the green one. Then the green goes off and the blue one start to blink. When I start the TomTom software the GPS connects himself to the Palm (blue LED remains on) but the software tells me there is no GPS reception (which seems to be correct as the green light stays off).
Does anybody knows what is going on?

Are you doing this inside the house by any chance? Good as GPS is it needs a good view of the sky to get a satellite 'fix' so you should be stood outside.

I've tried it everywhere (also open sky on my terrace). I assume the GPS is not working properly. I read in the manual that after switching the GPS on, the green light blinks when determining your position. This is not the case on my GPS. The green light goes only on when switching on and of the GPS once and then nothing.
