Hello all! Just purchsed an Emtac Bluetooth GPS and when following the instructions to look at it and test with the CRUX view software, I get the dreaded "Read Error!" message.

However, the reciever seems to work perfectly from within tomtom 3, although I only seem to get 7 satellites at most. Should I be worried and take it back or is it just being funny with the Crux view software?

TIA
Adrian :D

that's not good. The Crux_View is the Emtac's native program. these two should play nice... Maybe your receiver is running SiRF protocol?

What GPS version are you using in TomTom. It's well documented on here that it blocks "other" BT programs.

Then most probably your GPS driver is to blame. Remove the TomTom GPS driver and replace it with the version 2.07 from our downloads section.

Before trying to run Crux_View, you need to quit TomTom via the menu (not via the cross) or do a soft reset.
