Garmin has released Express 7.0.0 so thought it worth starting a new thread for release notes and issues rather than keep the GE 6.X.X thread going.
Release notes as follows:
We’ve fixed an issue where users could continually get prompted to set up WIFI.
Minor bug fixes and improvements. _________________ DriveLuxe 51 LMT D - Firmware 6.80

GE advises me that there's an update (suspect to Cyclops cameras) but it won't allow me to view details (even after refreshing) - anyone else experiencing this issue? _________________ DriveLuxe 51 LMT D - Firmware 6.80

What you can see now, which it didn't have before, is a download indicator! _________________ Garmin Drivesmart 50 LMT-D App 5.90

Really? Nothing new on mine. If you mean the blue circles with numbers in top right of the device on the home screen they've been there for a while. _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way.
I also don't see nothing new, the circles with numbers in have been there for a long time now - it's clicking on the view details that seems broken in this release (used to list the updates and the size of the file such as Cyclops Database - 3.17mb). _________________ DriveLuxe 51 LMT D - Firmware 6.80

What if we want to know what it is before plugging in or whether it's worth getting the unit out of the car. I don't use Cylops so I ignore them.
It worked perfectly OK but some bored soul in the IT department decided to implement a pointless change.
During install there was a brief one second panel with what I think was changes, maybe they should have thought that one out. _________________ DashCam:

Seems that you can't click to see the map updates as well. So they must have deliberately changed the behaviour (for the worse - useful to see if the update was just a Cyclops camera or something that we'd benefit from updating). _________________ DriveLuxe 51 LMT D - Firmware 6.80
