Hi guys, new subsciber just saying hello, just purchased a Qashqai 1.6 dCi Tenka 5 door hatchback, picked up day after lockdown so not been anywhere but shopping, I did have a ford c-max but after 3 steering racks in 7 months got rid, I am also now the proud??? owner of 3 sat navs, 1st was a moi but after 18 months battery only lasted 1.5 hours, cheaper to replace satnav then get another battery, great satnav but I live in th north east uk and often travel to wales, surrey, southampton and around scotland it wasn't practial, bought a navman which is another great satnav, gets me where I want to go, but now have built into the qashqai but until lockdown over wont know how good it is, I suppose belts and braces springs to mind, I have been going through these forums and learning a lot so thank you for the information gleened and look forward to being kept informed, regards Harry
Welcome to the community, conrail. It's a bit quiet around here at the moment due to the lockdown but I'm sure it'll get busier in a few weeks /months once people start travelling again. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599

Hello and welcome!
What year is the Qashqai? From memory the newer cars are no longer compatible with 3rd party databases like ours. It might be better to use the NavMan just for speed camera alerts.
As for the satnav itself, I honestly couldn't tell you... My experience of built in devices is they are usually a bit limited in terms of adding destinations - my ex's Seat is a pain to add a 7 digit postcode... But once you get the destination in it works well.
