I have an Ipaq 2215 with TomTom3. I have installed Checkpoint 2 un-installed & installed 3, but each version locks up on my machine. I activate Checkpoint & all is well. I can browse a menu, but only 1. The program then locks up and nothing else works. Only a soft reset will reactivate the Ipaq. This setup worked on my 3630 so why not now????
Also I noticed when I installed version 2 the menu list didn't have synchronisation in there??? |

So it was, yet the program worked OK on my 3630 with TomTom 2.
Not anymore. I installed version 2 to check if that worked. NO. |

Firstly, I think you need to make sure you are deleting all files if you are swapping between the two versions - v3 and v2 overlay settings files are not compatible, which might be causing v2 to not work after v3 was installed.
Secondly, only v3 is WM2003 compatible, so unless your 3630 was upgraded to WM2003, there is a lot of difference between your two PDAs which might be causing the problems.
However, I can't think of any generic reason why CheckPOInt would not work with a 2215, unless anyone can comment - I note there is reference elsewhere in this forum to needing to apply the latest ROM updates to the 2210 though. |

The problem is only on the 2215, the 3630 used a version of Checkpoint that had synchronise with it and was running ppc 2002. All was well. |

Well, I've tried everything now, or so it seems.
Start Checkpoint, OK, try the menu, OK, come out of menu, OK,
try another menu...nothing, try to exit nothing......

Shame I can't edit...anyway.
Now I find that if I start TomTom and have overlays in the navigator map folder and images in the checkpoint folder (as advised on the checkpoint site) the images do not show up on the map. Only when I have BOTH the images and overlay in the map folder does it work. |

If you only want the image to appear within CheckPOInt, both in the menu and in it's little display window at the top of the Navigator screen, then the images are only needed in the CheckPOInt directory.
