Hi all,
Been recommended here to purchase the latest poi for my qashqai.
I have a ntec plus 2011 Nissan qashqai, which I have up until now thw latest Sat nav memory card in.
I have now been told that I can update my poi via USB for speed cameras etc. Do I need to do this or should my latest sat nav automatically do this, because I'm getting mixed answers.
Also if I can update poi, where shall I go to purchase it please.

Hi Valleyboy22,
to the forum!
Is the memory card a removable one, i.e. an SD card?
If so, have you removed it and seen what the file and folder structure is like?
It's unlikely that there are many people in this forum who have a SatNav like yours, as opposed to generic TomTom or Garmin, so you'd have to wait for one of them to come along and help. Your best bet is to have a look in the manual or ask in an external Nissan Qashqai forum and once you have the answer come back here with a link to who you do it and then we can advise on the best files to use.
Alternatively, have a browse and search the Nissan Connect part of the PGPSW forum, where you may find your answer.
By the way, please don't double post in this forum as it makes it harder for people to decide which post to respond to.

In that case, it'll be trial and error. I (and others) can suggest but remember that we don't have a Nissan Qashqai so any advice is in good faith but don't blame us if it breaks your system!
Do people say that you can use custom POIs in your SatNav system?
Can you show POIs on the screen?
Can you set proximately alerts?
Can you use custom warning sounds?
Is everything run from the SD card, i.e. maps, etc? If so, I would get one or more new SD cards the same memory size as your original one in the StaNav and copy the original to a new one and see if you can run with the copied card. If you can keep your original SD card in a very safe place.

Also, bear in mind that there is a big difference between POI's that you navigate to and speed camera location POI's that require the SatNav to have a proximity alert feature. _________________ DashCam:
