CamerAlert Constantly Crashing.

Every time I try to open CamerAlert I get a pop up saying CamerAlert has stopped send feedback. I’ve uninstalled and re-installed it several times with the same result. My phone is a Motorola Moto G5 with Android 8.1.0. I only use it a few times per year, the last time was last October when I had TomTom Go for Android. So far this year I’ve used my old Go 720, with your database, but it has now died so I’ve got a Go Essential which can’t use the database.

As CamerAlert worked last year, could it be incompatible with Android 8 or could I have another problem?

I've used CA from Gingerbread right through to Pie without issue but on HTC and now Samsung

You've already covered the uninstall route so I'm puzzled.

Uninstall, reboot, install, just to make sure the cache is cleared maybe ?

Keep trying and it'll eventually start.

I hope so but the message that it has stopped comes up instantly as it tries to open without even an attempt to open.

Have you moved the app to your sd card. If so that could be the problem, just move it back to the main memory and all should be ok. I had this problem on my Moto G4+
