Wow, Garmin are way ahead of the race with their latest map update.
The current A14 goes through Huntingdon. The new A14 bypass WILL go well to the south, crossing the A1198 near the Wood Green Animal Shelter and then joining the A1 with a parallel course to rejoin it's current route. Great, it is on the new map in full detail, slip roads included. Problem it is not due to open until end of 2020. I spotted it on my Garmin as I drove the current A14. At home I constructed some test routes where the new road would have been chosen for the route. Interestingly that the unit resolutely refuses to route the new road, which is good, but displays the new road, which could be bad. Any other examples of this? |

I think they had the Hindhead tunnel mapped well before it opened. _________________ DashCam:

Couple of times in France seen a new road before it was open and once directed along one, but not in UK. Suspect it's on the map but not marked as routeable yet. _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

I did notice that where it peels off left from the existing road at the Eastern end, on the map there is a very short section of single carriageway, which might be where the routing stops. |

The A555 Manchester Airport Eastern Link to the A6 is on the latest maps but the road's not open yet, though it should be from 15th Oct 18.
Garmin tried to direct me it along last week en route to Buxton.
