|
|
I have started getting persistent notification of speed limits about every 5 seconds. This is usually (maybe always) where an average speed zone has been removed but persistent voice notification says speed limit is 50mph when it has reverted to 70mph or where all or part of a speed limit zone has been changed e.g. 30 limit changed to 40 but persistent voice notification is for the the 30 limit. Is there any way to stop this other than to turn off CamerAlert which rather defeats the object of having it. |

Hi AlanBD,
Bring CamerAlert to the foreground (if it's in the background)
Tap the speed limit numbers - that should switch off the Average Speed display and calculation.
Please remember to submit new SPECS cameras and also EXIT cameras which tell CamerAlert to switch off when exiting an average speed zone.

That's the thing, get it reported on the submission map so it can be attended to.
What area are you referring to ? _________________ DashCam:

I get this all the time when I travel through the long section of the M27 that’s 50mph average for smart motorway upgrade. After leaving the area I get warnings whenever I go over 50 for the remainder of my journey. If I go through a 70mph camera zone then it stops briefly until I clear that and then starts up again warning of 50. Mega annoying. |

Have a look at the submission map and check that the last camera in the section is an 'end' camera.
If not then report it.
If tou need some help then post the last camera number and direction. _________________ DashCam:

Just tap the average speed readout. That cancels it.
BTW, you can start an average speed calc any time by tapping the speed readout. |

That's very unusual for a Specs zone not to have a start and/or end.
These stretches are compiled with care. They also often have dummy end cameras to turn off a Specs zone on side roads.
Have you got a camera No we can zoom in on to check the sequence. _________________ DashCam:

There are end cameras at both ends of the M27 roadworks. Not sure about exit cams though as I can't be assed to look at all of the junctions. |

I looked at the bottom of the m3 that leads off the m27 and could not see the camera there that signals the end of the restriction so added one. |

There is abn end cam on the M27 westbound where it crosses under the A27/Basset avenue, but there is no exit specs on the on-slip to the M3 which should be at about Latitude: 50.95437 Longitude: -1.40024 to switch off the 50MPH of the M27 for traffic going N up the M3 |

Is there an actual cam there? Or are you estimating where an dummy exit specs should be. Anyway, your guess is only 80M north of mine. |
