The average speed feature of CA while in a SPECS zone is great but if CA doesn't detect the end of the SPECS zone and you speed up to normal cruising speed, CA keeps issuing warnings. Is there a way to manually tell CA that the SPECS zone has finished? It's not in the manual and hard to try things out while on the move. On my old satnav, tapping the speed camera symbol would stop it but that didn't work on CA when I tried it. |

Interesting problem.
The best way to solve that is to report it on the submission map. If a Specs zone is found to not have an end cam then it should be picked up the following Wednesday.
What road and location is this, or better still the last camera number? _________________ DashCam:

Hi johalareewi,
To stop CamerAlert from reporting that you're in an average speed zone (i.e. SPECS) is to bring CamerAlert into the foreground (if it isn't already) and then tap on the speed display. This will turn off average speed display and warning. If you tap on the speed display again, it will turn on the average speed display.
As Kremmen has said, if you can accurately report it then do so via CamerAlert or when you are able to use a computer at home or in the office.
Bear in mind that there are some places where there are no physical end cameras (e.g. slip roads) so we use a pseudo marker called an EXITSPECS that instructs CamerAlert to switch off average speed display and warning automatically once you have left the SPECS zone. So if that is the case then please say it's an EXITSPECS and not a physical END camera.

Manual: http://cameralert.com/manual/android and http://cameralert.com/manual/ios
Quote: | The average speed can be started or stopped manually by tapping your current speed. |
Also, as suggested, feel free to submit a correction either as an 'END' camera if there's a physical camera there or with a comment saying 'need to turn off average speed here - no camera though' or words to that effect.
