Battery in Tom Tom BT GPS for T3

I am thinking of buying a Tom Tom GPS for my T3, but have read in reviews that because the battery is Lithium-Ion it can only be charged 400 (ish) times before it is knackered. Is this really an issue? i.e. is it true, does it matter, can the batteries be replaced and if so how and how much? Or am I being unrealistic thinking that I won't want to replace the thing in a year and a half?

I am also thinking about the Navman 4460, which apparently has more durable batteries, so your experiences of this unit would be helpful.
