Hi,
I'm looking for help, I'm trying to add my own pois to my built in sat nav in my 2015 Vauxhall Insignia, The infotainment system is Touch R700/Navi 900. The way this is done is via a USB stick as per the instructions in the manual.
I have created a poi in the root directory of the USB stick but I'm struggling in naming the actual poi. When I do name it, it does not show on the usb when I go into the file on the display screen on the sat nav.
I hope that's clear and someone out there knows how to do this. I'm sure once I've done it or been shown how to name the file it will be very easy.
I would have added some pictures of the manual instructions but I can't see anywhere here where you can add a picture file to a post.

Is This Manual the same as yours?
If so Page 67/68 would seem to apply to you. If you can confirm, we can take it from there. _________________ Richard

Hi,
Yes I can confirm that the pages are the same in my manual as to the ones you posted.
I have managed to get to creating a directory on the USB stick, myPOIS
The problem is when I try to add a poi into this file it doesn't show up when the USB stick is inserted. Mat be I'm naming it wrong.
This is an example of a poi I'd like to add 54.101965,1.325311,Myton Grange Fishing
Now I'm not sure how you would name this file
Hope you can help

It looks to me like:
F:\MyPOIs\FishingPOIs.poi
Then you need to reverse the Lat Long in your example. _________________ DashCam:

Hi,
I'm sure that's what I've been doing but still no luck, why it has to be so difficult and not like Tom tom where you can just enter the long and lat co ordinates into the sat nave beats me !! |
